Message from IALLA's President, Philip Nowicki (GA)
May 2009
Greetings to our members, subscribers and interested persons:
During the past year, I have had the pleasure to meet with nearly all our
members and subscribers in Sacramento or Atlanta. I have found these
meetings to be a tremendous help in maintaining open lines of communication
on issues of mutual interest.
Since 1999, our annual conference has been the linchpin for this purpose. It
brings us together, we are no longer strangers and thereafter, when we need
to discuss matters or address problems on behalf of our respective agencies,
organizations and corporations, it enables us to do so more effectively.
Earlier this year, the IALLA Executive Board carefully weighed the
recognized benefit of having our annual conference against the reality of
the tough economic climate we all are facing. After great, consideration,
the Board voted against having a conference this fall.
So where does this leave IALLA in 2009? Hopefully, it leaves us intact as we
explore new ways to meet our goals and objectives until things return to
normal. In lieu of a conference and in an effort to keep everyone talking,
IALLA will conduct a series of issue forums utilizing alternative
communications technologies. Our first forum scheduled for June 19 will be
by telephone conference. Participation is limited to members and subscribers
who have renewed or joined for 2009. The list of forum topics, facilitators
and dates is provided below.
As the nation’s premier resource for lemon law issues, I encourage you to
join IALLA. If you are already a member or subscriber, please renew. Your
continued support and interest in IALLA is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,

Philip Nowicki, Ph.D.
IALLA President
